Strengths: Got light feet and a strong arm with a hell of a jump. Power and Jump are equality powerful. Good at following orders. Although he is new to the game, he’s a quick learner and already has developed a solid receive.
Weaknesses: Since he’s a newbie, his technique blows. Even though he has a strong hit, he tends to not hit the ball dead on, causing it to go in weird directions, but always over the net. Basically, his aim is not good. He’s also not so great at understanding the game of volleyball or team work, yet, but he’s determined to learn.

Personality:  Shy, calm, dedicated, aloof, hard-worker, easily impressed, responsible

He’s a bit shy, tending to look away from people when speaking. He tends to be pretty calm and level headed about things, but if it’s something he’s fundamentally against or if he’s really worked up (like in a game), Shouma can be aggressive and ruthless. He tends to only rely on himself and stays aloof from people. Plus, he’s really awkward with people he’s not familiar with and not one for public speaking. However, once you get past his distant and shy exterior, he can be a really fun and sweet boy. He really treasures friendship because growing up, he never had many friends, but still, he might not initiate events for he’s an introvert. If he does, it means you’re someone special to him. 

When not playing a sport, working, or hanging out with friends, he spends most of his time alone, listening to music or studying. He tries to study hard so that he can do better for his family. His interest lies in the medical field, although which major is a different question. Despite his looks, he’s quite responsible and has the ability to clean, cook, and sew. Though most wouldn’t call it stiff, Shouma has the tendency to be strict with those who don’t carry their weight and absolutely hates jerks. He adores cute things such as animals and kids, even though he hates being called cute. He also enjoys spending the little extra money he’s made on good snacks and on his little sister, Yumi. I don’t want to say he has a sister complex, but he has one. Although it’s not overtly noticeable, he adores his sister a lot, in a silent way. As his family is poor, he hates to waste things and can be seen using all he can from items. 

Biography: 

Shouma grew up without a mother and was raised by a father who never home due to work. Because his father was never home, Shouma takes care of his little sister, who’s in elementary school, which makes him adept to doing house chores and caring for children. Some would say he dots on his little sister, Yumi, too much, but that’s because he really cares for her. Despite his father’s long hours of work of different jobs, they don’t have much money, which is why he chose to go to Hitani as he didn't want to burden his father. His grades are good as he studies when he can between chores, sports, school, and work. Although he thinks of his mother often, he’s already accepted the fact she is gone and has moved on in life.

 On account of his looks, people judge him as a punk, but he’s actually a shy, honest, sweet hearted boy. His shyness comes from a lack of peer contact, because, for most of his elementary and middle school days, people were intimidated by him and stayed away. Before joining the volleyball team, Shouma was on the basketball team, which he started to play towards the end of elementary school and throughout Jr. High. He was really excited to join the basketball team in High School, but none of his previous school's team mates were there and Shouma had a really hard time. The coach never put him in games on account of his lack of relying on teammates, even though he really wished to play (not that he’s a one-man show or something, just bad at teamwork). Of course Shouma misses the thrill of shooting hoops, but he finds that volleyball requires some of the same skills that basketball has. He knows his teamwork skills need work and volleyball is more of a team effort than basketball was. He decided to join volleyball because a childhood friend said he might like it better than basketball. (Childhood friend is Aizawa, Yuko. Shouma’s family used to take trips up to an inn in the mountains where Shouma and Yuko played a lot. Although he hasn't been able to visit the inn since his mother left, he still keeps in touch with Yuko. Actually, Yuko told Shouma about volleyball back in middle school. It seemed like a fun sport to play, but he had basketball and studying to do. Still, Yuko managed to teach him a few things about volleyball, like how to recieve. When he quit the basketball team in high school, he decided to take Yuko’s advice and join the volleyball team.) Shouma's athletic, but his true passion is to jump, which only a select few sports require like basketball and volleyball.

Likes: Animals, kids, studying, music, snacks, friends and family
Dislikes: When people call him cute, strangers (more fearful than hate), wasting things, jerks, slackers, and spicy things

Additional Information: 

-Has the tendency to not look in the eyes of new people, but once he’s warmed up to you he can look you in the eye

-Listens to a variety of music but likes classical and soft rock the most.

-Normally a pretty quiet guy, but if something triggers it, the boy can be very aggressive and ruthless

-He got his ears pierced on a dare (peer pressure), and was at first embarrassed about getting pierces, but Yumi said she really liked them and it made her “brother seems cooler,” so he keeps wearing earrings.

-Little sister is Takahashi Yumi

-Childhood friend is Aizawa, Yuko.

-Shouma's background is based off of my little cousin whom I think is adorable! Though, it's just the background, not the personality as my little cousin can be a bugger sometimes.
